Stones 1st No. 1 Single 1965

The Rolling Stones recorded a version of ‘Satisfaction’ at Chess Studios in Chicago on May 10th 1965 but decided to have another go today in 1965. Keith didn’t like the sound of it with the harmonica on it and put the famous fuzz tone down at RCA’s studio in Hollywood. Keith had come up with the guitar riff in the middle of the night a week earlier. It gave the band their first number 1 single in the US.
