To promote their upcoming album, ‘Rize of the Fenix,’ Tenacious D have enlisted the help of their friends in both the comedy and rock worlds. Bob Odenkirk, known for his work on ‘Mr. Show’ and ‘Breaking Bad,’ teamed up with bassist Rudy Sarzo (Quiet Riot, Whitesnake, Ozzy Osbourne) to create an mock-informational film on behalf of the Tinnitus Institute.
As Dr. Bill Teetz, Odenkirk, who was also a writer on Tenacious D’s HBO series, explains that they will be studying what happens to tinnitus sufferers as they are exposed to ‘Fenix.’ Ralph, a roadie played by another 'Mr. Show' alum John Ennis, is so enamored with the D’s sound that, even with the pain, he cranks up the volume as high as it can go.
