Before his death, Apple CEO Steve Jobs was reportedly in talks with rock pioneer and noted audiophile Neil Young about designing and producing a "21st century iPod" capable of playing high-resolution, studio-quality digital music files that would match or even surpass the analogue originals.
Neil: "Steve Jobs was a pioneer of digital music. But when he went home, he listened to vinyl. And you've gotta believe that if he'd lived long enough, he would eventually have done what I'm trying to do."
