NEW ORLEANS – The city's 43rd Jazz & Heritage Festival closed out a nearly rain-free seven-day run Sunday with incendiary, sophisticated, mellow and good-time shows spread across 10 outdoor stages and tents.
Alt-rock vets Foo Fighters, blues singer Bonnie Raitt and Western swing outfit Asleep at the Wheel were among the big draws, joining festival vets the Neville Brothers, Galactic, Rebirth Brass Band, and several dozen other acts. Closing the festivities was Preservation Hall Jazz Band, celebrating 50 years. MORE HERE & HERE
