It seems that the four promo clips for Neil Young and Crazy Horse's Americana using vintage film clips were all leading up to this.
Young released a forty-minute silent-style film to accompany the release of the album (June 5, 2012). Directed by Young's alter-ego, Bernard Sharkey, the film follows an author as he looks for the right illustrations for a book he is writing on American songs. The songs, including the previously released shorts, are interspersed between the newly shot footage which has a piano accompaniment.Neil Young & Crazy Horse Tour Dates HERE
