Naturally Maturing Apple

Fiona Apple has grown up.

The singer-songwriter-pianist once known for immature antics -- the bitter acceptance speech at the MTV Video Music Awards in 1997, the infamous meltdown at New York's Roseland Ballroom in 2000, etc. -- comes across as very mature these days.

It was certainly the case during Apple's sold-out show Saturday July 28, 2012 at the Fox Theater in Oakland, California. It could be seen in her comfort level onstage and it could be heard in the few sentences she said to the crowd between songs.

For nothing highlights maturity quite like gratitude. And Apple seems to truly appreciate her loyal following. MORE HERE
