In closing the 2012 Olympic Games with "A Symphony of British Music," England called upon the Who for a headline performance. And they provided a spectacular finale to both the night and the games, playing classics like "Baba O'Riley" and "My Generation." MORE HERE
Significant highlights came along whenever the big names showed off their own wares - Davies singing Waterloo Sunset, George Michael bossing the stadium with Freedom, the Spice Girls sashaying on in black cabs to sing Wannabe and Brian May doing some prodigious axe work (above).
