Peaches Produces Protest : Free Pussy Riot
Agit-prop electroclash Peaches has written a song for imprisoned Russians Pussy Riot with an all-star clip.
An appropriately punk rock tune 'Free Pussy Riot' in order to protest the detainment of members of political art-punk group Pussy Riot by Russian authorities.
The clip shows all-star support (even though most people appear in Pussy Riot's trademark dayglo balaclavas). We can spot The Hives, Lykke Li, Nick Zinner of Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Wayne Kramer of MC5 and JD Samson of La Tigre.
There are also appearances, supposedly, by Swedes The Knife, Peter Bjorn And John and Miike Snow, Brit singer Kate Nash, Brooklyn synth act Light Asylum and US singer songwriter Marshall Crenshaw.
