Scott McKenzie died on Saturday, August 18, 2012 in Los Angeles, California. 

McKenzie was best known for singing the 1967 hit single, "San Francisco (Be Sure to Wear Flowers in Your Hair)." It was written by John Phillips of The Mamas & the Papas.
