For the past three years, Kirk Hammett has spent his down time at home and in dressing rooms working on his first book, "Too Much Horror Business" (Abrams Image, $29.95), which comes out in October 2012. The title might imply a treatise on his time with Metallica, but the coffee-table tome actually catalogs his collection of horror movie memorabilia.
The guitarist reckons that his horror collection is now the second best in the world and, until now, nobody outside his family and closest friends had seen it.
The book includes more than 300 images for which the guitar player wrote captions while he and the band toured the world. MORE HERE
