Final day of the three-day Austin City Limits Music Festival at Zilker Park in Austin on Sunday October 14, 2012 included the godfathers of punk — Iggy Pop & the Stooges.

Iggy Pop schooled a multigenerational audience with a defiant command.

The Stooges frontman shimmied, pranced, jumped, cursed, spit, smashed microphone stands and crawled like a rabid dog in a display of rock ’n’ roll burlesque that he invented.

“We’re the fuckin' Stooges,” Pop announced three songs into a nonstop 12-song set. “We come from hell.” MORE HERE
