R.I.P.: Bill Dees
Roy Orbison’s longtime friend and talented songwriting partner, Bill Dees, passed away Wednesday evening October 31, 2012 at the age of 73.
Originally from Borger, Texas, William "Bill" Dees was best known for the many songs he co-wrote with Roy Orbison; ranging from powerful ballads like "It's Over" and "Crawling Back" to perhaps their most famous collaboration, "Oh, Pretty Woman."
Glen Campbell, Johnny Cash, Loretta Lynn and Gene Pitney were among other country music stars to record songs penned by the prolific Texas native. MORE HERE
