Wanda Jackson's Unfinished Business

Two weeks shy of her 75th birthday, Wanda Jackson has lost count of how many albums she's released in her 58-year career. The Queen of Rockabilly and Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee reckons Unfinished Business, which lands this week, is her 31st. The record marks singer-songwriter Justin Townes Earle's debut as a producer for another artist.





The standout track "Am I Even A Memory" is a classic country weeper written by honky-tonk revivalist Greg Garing. "Greg actually wrote the song for me seventeen years ago and never could get it to me," recalled Jackson. Her publicist played the song for Jackson and Earle, and "we were both knocked out by it," she recalled. They decided to sing it together as a duet. MORE HERE & HERE
