Shout Out Louds' Ice Record

Trust a Swedish band to come up with this one: the new record for the Shout Out Loud's single called "Blue Ice" is actually made from ice. And it plays.

The band put together 10 kits that they distributed to fans and the press. The kits contained a silicon mold of a seven-inch record and a bottle of distilled water; the silicon was chosen because it's easy to pop the record out of it once frozen, the distilled water because it freezes clear, with no bubbles that would distort the music. The result is a tragically fleeting, deftly promotional product that can be played just once before it turns into a puddle on your turntable. MORE HERE
