Tape Worm Forces Frenzal Rhomb Cancellations
Frenzal Rhomb has finally revealed the reason behind the band’s sudden decision to pull out of the Descendents February 2013 Australian tour.
Frenzal was supposed to play four shows with the US punk legends, but pulled out just days before following “a sudden and unexpected illness” to one of its members.
It has been confirmed that it was frontman Jay Whalley who was struck down by illness while loading a bass cabinet into his car on January 25, 2013.
The band has revealed he was forced to cancel the tour after surgeons discovered a pig tapeworm egg had infected his brain.
In a tale worthy of the Twilight Zone, Jay Whalley enlightened fans to his recent health crisis, which was four years in the making on the band's Facebook page. MORE HERE & HERE
