On March 5, 2013 mono vinyl versions of the first two Jimi Hendrix albums, ‘Are You Experienced‘ and ‘Axis: Bold as Love‘ will be released.
This will mark the first time the U.K. version of ‘Are You Experienced’ has been released in mono in the U.S. The difference between the two is that the U.K. version — which was released first — includes ‘Red House’, ‘Can You See Me’ and ‘Remember’ but omits the three singles, ‘Purple Haze’, ‘Hey Joe’ and ‘The Wind Cries Mary.’
The two albums will be pressed on 200-gram vinyl, with each copy being individually numbered. MORE HERE
‘People, Hell and Angels,’ Hendrix’s new collection of unreleased studio performances, is coming out on the same day. The first single from that album, ‘Somewhere,’ has go to No.1 on the Billboard Hot Singles sales for February 2013. MORE HERE
