Mary McCartney Develops

Mary McCartney followed in her mother Linda's footsteps to become a photographer, going on to shoot some eminent women, from the Duchess of Devonshire to Polly Jean Harvey (left).

Her exhibition Developing: Photographs by Mary McCartney runs from 16 March to 9 June 2013 at the Lowry in Salford, Manchester, England.

The pictures are testament to how Mary’s upbringing has influenced her work – “It has been an advantage in the sense that people know I’m not going to exploit them or take an embarrassing photograph,” she says – and the very special relationship she had with her mother. MORE HERE, HERE & HERE
