The Replacements Cover Gordon Lightfoot For Slim

Paul Westerberg and Tommy Stinson of the Replacements have shared their cover of "I'm Not Sayin", written and performed by Gordon Lightfoot and also performed by Nico. The track comes from the Songs for Slim reunion EP. (Replacements drummer Chris Mars also contributes a track to the EP.)

The EP is the first release from the Songs for Slim project to benefit former Replacements guitarist Slim Dunlap, who was hospitalized after a stroke in February 2012 (and is now partially paralyzed).

Only 250 limited edition autographed copies were pressed to 10" vinyl and auctioned off in January, raising over $100,000 to help with Dunlap's medical bills. The highest bidder paid $10,000 for a copy.

The Songs for Slim EP will be out digitally March 5, 2013as well as out on 12" vinyl April 16, 2013 via New West Records.
