Since Alex Chilton’s death in 2010, a group of Big Star fans, including Mike Mills, former bassist of R.E.M., and the musician-producers Mitch Easter and Chris Stamey, have come together with the original Big Star drummer, Jody Stephens, for several concerts.
They’ll do so again on Sunday at Rumsey Playfield in Central Park, as part of this year’s SummerStage concert series. MORE HERE & HERE
