Apparently the injury sustained by Frederick "Toots" Hibbert, leader of Toots and the Maytals, on May 19, 2013 was much more serious than originally thought.
Hibbert was hit with a bottle thrown from the crowd while performing at the RiverRock Festival in Richmond, Virginia. While he was briefly hospitalized, there appears to be ongoing problems as the groups first cancelled the four remaining dates on their acoustic tour and have now dropped all the remaining dates on their sechedule. Doctors have ordered the action saying "any performances at this time could seriously compromise the artiste’s health and well being."
