In the ‘60s, he was a street singer. In the ‘70s, he led a musical movement. In the ‘80s he walked away from the recording industry. Ok Buckaroos recounts this Gypsy song man’s journey, from writer of the massive popular hit “Mr. Bojangles” to becoming a fiercely independent, underdog maverick. The film weaves together archival footage, interviews with friends and contemporaries (including Willie Nelson, Kris Kristofferson, and Guy Clark).
