Wayne Mills never bragged about giving.
He just did it because that was his way, said Carol Mills, the widow of the slain country singer. She didn’t even know he had signed up to be an organ donor until his passing. His kidneys, pancreas, liver and heart went to people waiting on transplants.
“It’s comforting to think that his heart never stopped beating,” she said.
The singer and songwriter died at Vanderbilt University Medical Center on November 23, 2013 after being shot in a downtown Nashville bar. MORE HERE
