Slim Whitman’s funeral, held Saturday June 29, 2013 at Rock Bible Church Church in Middleburg, Florida once known as the Church of the Brethren and started by Whitman’s father-in-law.
The eulogists all said the same thing — Slim Whitman was the nicest person you could ever meet. He was honest, consistent and genuine.
He had no ego, despite his superstar status. Once at a concert he gave one of his trademark flashy coats to Elvis Presley, before that superstar-to-be had his own flashy attire. MORE HERE
